It books airline tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, cruises, vacation packages and various attractions and services via the World Wide Web and telephone travel agents. The site uses multiple global distribution systems like Amadeus or the Sabre reservation systems for flights and for hotels, Worldspan and Pegasystems, along with its own hotel reservation system for contracted, bulk-rate reservations. This last is shared with other Expedia, Inc. sites.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IN TEST

Eligibility: BA/BS in Computers

Location: Gurgaon

Experience: Experience will be preferred

Responsibilities:

•Participating during all aspects of the product lifecycle from specification to production release.

•Working with Developers, Program Managers and Product Managers to design and implement test and validation strategies.

•Designing and code automated tests (functional and regression), run manual tests; verify builds and releases

•Contributing to requirements gathering, specification reviews and dev design in the early stages of the project.

•Identifying opportunities for process, tools and test methodology improvements and drive those from concept to implementation.


Qualifications:

•Proven software development combined with testing and automation experience

•Understanding of Big Data open source technologies

•Understanding of .Net, C#, ASP.Net and JQuery

•Excellent understanding of testing, test methodologies in an agile environment

•Good understanding of object oriented programming with strong coding and debugging abilities

•Knowledge of SQL, relational databases & XML preferred

•BA/BS degree in Computer Science
